K of C Breakfasts: 5th Sunday of month Aug 31 , 2008, 7:30 - 11:30 am	August 31, 2008; November 30, 2008; March 29, 2009 from 7:30 - 11:30 AM. Menu consists of sausage, bone-in-ham, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, biscuits & gravy, fresh baked cinnamon rolls, coffee, juice, milk. Adults-$6.00; children 6-12 yrs.-$3.00; under 6 yrs.-free. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council #8073. Proceeds to benefit St. John's School. NOTE: When the 5th Sunday falls in a holiday weekend, the breakfast will be held on the 4th Sunday unless some other parish event supercedes the breakfast. PLEASE, check back here for the correct dates before coming.
Fall Sausage Festival: Sun, Oct 26, 2008 10:30 AM - 6 PM	Held the fourth Sunday in October. Continuous family style serving, and all you can eat! Fresh made whole-hog sausage, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, sauerkraut, home made bread and apple butter, baked apples and ice cream, coffee, milk. Drive-up take-out orders, follow the signs and drive around behind the school. Country store (fresh apple butter, yum!), Country Garden & Gifts (new), craft store, bake sale, kid's room. Quilt raffle. In the crafts area, "Build your Own Scarecrow!". Hog raffle. Fresh sausage may be purchased to take home. Adults $12.00, children under 12 $4.00, pre-school children free.
Poker Tournament: Fri, June 6, 2008	TEXAS HOLD’EM POKER TOURNAMENT will be held here at St. John’s beginning at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:00 p.m.; side tables available; food & beverages; raffles; payout based on 160 player minimum. $30 buy-in. For more information call 636-583-2488. $1,000 First Place; $500, 2nd Place; $250, 3rd; $100, 4th; $75, 5th; $50, 6th; $25, 7th. NO COOLERS PLEASE. MUST BE 18 or OLDER to get in.
Julie B. Doorack Memorial Softball Tournament: June 2009	The 5th Annual Julie B. Doorack Memorial Scholarship Fund Softball Tournament. We are planning the 5th Annual Julie B. Doorack Memorial Scholarship Fund softball tournament. We really want you all to play! Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, June 7-8 and meet us on the St. John's field. Dinner/Dance/Auction: Theme not yet announced Feb, 2009	Sponsored by the Home and School Association. Dinner, dance and auction tickets, or dance and auction only. Open to anyone. By reservation only. The theme for Feb 2009 will be announced soon. Mid-winter event. Mark your calendars today to shake off the doldrums of "cabin fever", with a full evening of fun, food, fellowship and better than ever items to bid on. Over 275 people attended our last one. Trivia Night: Last Held Sat, Oct 20, 2007	Trivia Night here at St. John's! Doors open at 6 PM, rounds start at 7 PM $150.00 table reservation with a maximum of 10 people per table. Prizes to the top 3 teams and Best Decorated Table! Bring your own snacks or food, but please, no outside drinks or beverage coolers. For reservations call 636-583-2488 or 636-583-1521.
WCU Breakfast: Last held March 25, 2007	Western Catholic Union... serving in the parish center from 7:30-10:30 a.m.; menu consists of ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, fried apples, juice, coffee, milk; adults-$6; children 6-12 yrs.-$3; under 6 yrs-free; proceeds benefit St. John’s School. Prices subject to change.
K of C Fish Fry: Lent 2008 4:30 - 8 PM	Held on selected Fridays during Lent. Serving from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. Cod and Catfish, Mashed Potatoes, Stewed Tomatoes, Green Beans, Corn, Cole Slaw, Peach Crisp, Fruit Cup, Coffee, Tea and Lemonade. All you can eat. Adults: $8.00, children (6-12) $3.00. Everyone is welcome. Prices subject to change.
Scrapbook Extravaganza: Last held March 31, 2007, 10:00 am - 10:00 pm Rescheduled from Jan 13	12-hour scrapbook event. It will be held in the Parish Center from 10am-10pm. This would be a great time to crop those Christmas pictures while the memories are still fresh. We're having a Pajama Party, so wear your PJ's and get your name in a special drawing. If you call before January 5, it's only $35, otherwise it's $40. Included will be lunch and dinner, goodie bag, attendance prizes, class demonstrations, vendors, and cropping space. There will also be a raffle and 50/50 drawings. Half-day and full-day spaces available. Spring Quilt Bingo: Last held April 15, 2007 2 PM	Usually held the second Sunday in April, but can vary if it conflicts with Easter. Bingo; prizes are handmade quilts, crafted by the ladies of the parish. Lunch served beginning at noon. Bingo starts at 2 PM
Fall Quilt Bingo: Nov 4, 2007 2 PM	Bingo; prizes are handmade quilts, crafted by the ladies of the parish. Lunch served beginning at noon, Bingo starts at 2 PM.
Bunko Fun Evening: Nov 17, 2007, 7:00 pm	CO-ED BUNKO!! Come on out for a night of fun and play Bunko here at St. John’s Parish Center on Saturday, November 17 starting at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6:30; $15 per person; snacks will be provided; cash bar available; will play six rounds of six games; no need to fill tables and no experience necessary!! Reservations are suggested call 583-2488 or 583-1521 See ya there!
Spring Chicken Dinner: March 8, 2009 10:30 AM - 6 PM	Held the second Sunday in March. No, it's not a dinner for spring chickens, but a huge chicken dinner served in the spring. Served family style and all you can eat! Deep-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, cole slaw, home made bread and pies, coffee, milk. Drive-up take-out orders, follow the signs and drive around behind the school. Country store, quilts for sale and crafts provided by the ladies of the parish. Quilt raffle. Adults $10.00, children under 12 $4.00, pre-school children free.
